Detroit Update Time! July 3, 2008 Sorry its been so long since we updated this... A lot has been going on in our lives, and Pam is improving every day. We can't say "thanks" enough to all who have extended their kind thoughts, prayers and well-wishes. Sadly, you probably won’t see us at any Rod Runs this year, as we're taking some time off from traveling to let us fully recuperate, and hit it all again next year, refreshed and caught up. On a lighter note: We would like to congratulate Joe Mouton for winning the ISCA’s International Grand Champion with his awesome ’55 Chevy! A fitting honor for a tremendously well-built car! Also, a big congrats to Joe Stuban for a Pro’s Pick at Goodguys Indy & Nashville, and more of the same to David Walsh & Mac McNabb for Pro’s Pick at Atlanta and Darwin Stanfield for a Top 5 Early Truck of the Year for his ’38 Ford Pickup. Great to see everyone enjoying your great rides as much as you do! Look for magazine features soon! We would also like to welcome to the M&M family a NOS 40 Ford Pickup Cab, that hopefully will be built into a super shop truck this coming winter(along with the Monte!). On a somber note: we lost a very good and dear friend and customer, Gary Brigham. Gary lost a long, hard battle with cancer on June 26th. Gary was the ultimate Street Rodder, and was the owner of the ’29 Roadster Pickup featured on our website... He was at virtually every Rod Run, either in his pickup or his ’33 Le Salle, and always had a smile on his face, just happy to be there and talking with anybody that came by. He will truly be missed. We thank you, as always, for stopping by, and will be addidng some new cars and photos soon... We wish you and your family a happy, safe and relaxing July Fourth holiday, and look forward to seeing you all soon. Detroit Update Time! March 18, 2008 We unfortunately missed Detroit this year, having fallen to the nasty flu that's gone around... So much for spending a few days of M&M getting some R&R walking the show! However, we did have two cars featuring our interior work grab spots in the Great 8: Joe Mouton's Willys ![]() and David Walsh's '40 Ford (built by our good friends at T&T Customs!) ![]() each earned the grand honor at the AutoRama, in a wildy varied field this year. (photos courtesy Street Rodder) Congrats to everyone involved! Meanwhile, back at the shop.... At present, we're getting back to being healthy, and putting the finishing touches on a '41 Lincoln Zephyr and a '60 Chevy Wagon, so keep your eyes peeled for features on those two very soon! As always, thanks for stopping by, and enjoy your visit! Feature Cars Update February 12, 2008 We have added three more feature cars to the website: Anthony Osborne's '41 Willys, Tammy Ray's '33 Speedstar Coupe, and Gary Brigham's all-steel '29 RPU. Head on over to our Work Samples page to find links to these and other great cars we've had the honor of stitching interiors for! We're also proud to have been a part in a recent tech artricle for Steert Rod Builder Magazine! If you're out and about, pick up a copy of the March '08 issue, and check out our work, as we re-cover the seat in Josh Kaylor's '47 International pickup. Aside from that, it's a few more long days before heading to Detroit, and just business as usual. Thanks, as always, for stopping by, and we hope you'll continue to do so as we add more great feature cars and more to the site! Countdown to Detroit February 4, 2008 Currently we are starting a ’40 Ford Coupe that belongs to David Walsh of Macon, GA. The car was built at T&T Customs in Canton, GA., to compete for the 2008 Ridler Award in Detroit, at the world-famous AutoRama. Speaking of the big show, we have also just finished a ’41 Willys Coupe for Joe Mouton of New Orleans, LA., built by Joe Brown of Lafayette, LA... and, you guessed it, this will also be in the competition for the Ridler. This past November, we completed a ’55 Chevy also for Joe Mouton. It debuted at the Houston Autorama, and took home the coveted Millwinders Award. The ’55 is doing great on the ISCA Circuit. Both cars will be shown together in Detroit as Bitter & Sweet. Meanwhile on the home front, our project Monte is sitting quietly in the back of the shop. At this point, the status report is "few pieces of trim removed and covered in dust"... Granted, it doesn't sound like much, but it's patiently waiting its turn…maybe after Detroit! Thanks for checking in, and look for more soon. Welcome! January 30, 2008 We're proud to show off the new web site, and glad that you dropped by. We'll be adding content and features over the next few months, and hope that you'll stop in often to see what's happening around M&M Hot Rod Interiors. We have a good selection of our work online already, and invite you to see some of our creations up close and personal. Look for updates on shop news and projects right here, and if you have any questions, or are looking to have an interior created for your street rod, custom car, classsic or muscle car, give us a shout! Thanks again for stopping by, and enjoy your visit! New Gallery Pages January 23, 2008 We've uploaded a new gallery, showcasing our work. Simply click on the "our work" link over to the left, and enjoy looking at some projects we're proud to have been a part of! |
